All profilesQuestions people ask first
Is it really possible to profit from sportsbook promos?
Yes, when you hedge them. A bonus bet has no cash stake at risk, so betting it on one side and hedging the other side with cash at a second sportsbook turns it into a predictable amount of money, usually 65% to 80% of the bonus. The profit is capped by how many promos you can claim, and sportsbooks can limit accounts that only take promos.
Is matched betting or arbitrage legal in the US?
Placing bets on opposite sides at two licensed sportsbooks is legal wherever online sports betting is legal and you meet the age and location rules. It can break a sportsbook’s terms if you abuse promos, share accounts, or bet on behalf of someone else, so read each operator’s terms and never open accounts in anyone else’s name.
Why do sharp bettors care so much about Pinnacle?
Pinnacle runs low margins and welcomes winning players, so its prices move quickly toward the most accurate estimate of each outcome. With the vig removed, those prices are a strong estimate of the true probability. That estimate is the yardstick +EV bettors use to judge prices at other sportsbooks. Pinnacle is not licensed in US states, so US bettors use its odds as a reference and bet at licensed local books.
How much money do I need to start?
You can convert small promos with a few hundred dollars, but welcome offers often need $1,000 to $2,500 of working capital because the hedge bet on a longshot bonus can be several times the bonus itself. See our bankroll guide.
